Objectives
To improve environmental and cultural awareness in the children and adults of the Solola region of Guatemala.
To introduce recycled art projects and practical workshops such as tree planting and making an ecological teaching garden, with the aim of protecting the environment as well as increasing local awareness of individual impact on the local as well as macro-ecosystem.
To work with local organisations and schools, improving availability of teaching materials and educational resources, with an emphasis on the poorest communities and schools.
Long-term objectives:
To set up vocational workshops and a recycling programme that will generate a sustainable income to support these projects and benefit indigenous rights, women's rights, and homeless and orphaned kids. |
