We are now taking orders for greeting cards, as well as having a range of products made in recycle workshops such as decorations, bookmarkers, calendars and wedding invitations. The more items we can sell, the more fellowships we can offer.
What these are: Greeting cards, decorations, bookmarkers, calendars and wedding invitations made by hand in recycle workshops held with peer groups and volunteers in Hyderabad, India.
As well as raising environmental awareness, these workshops enable vulnerable youths to learn how to work as a team and feel motivated to develop their personal potential.
At festival times we are flooded with images of consumerism. But showing our friends and family that we love them needn’t cost us the Earth. Why not fly in the face of hype and enjoy the notion that, despite the land masses of debris which inevitably begin to accumulate as soon as the last gift has been unwrapped, and the batteries in the plastic dancing Santa have ground to a halt, by purchasing recycled greeting cards you have, in some small way, helped to push the flow of garbage back upstream.
