The Mayan Coordination of Comprehensive Development Association (ASCODIMAYA) emerged between 1990 and 1993, from the organisational work of people from different communities, such as Xajaxac, el Tablón, Chwa Cruz and Cha'Kij Ya' Sololá, Sololá and of some people from communities of Patzún Chimaltenango. ASCODIMAYA has managed to coordinate and organise the activities of the inhabitants of the Communities of Patzún, Sololá and K’iche for over thirteen year.
